This site runs its own visit statistics. No advertising trackers, no data brokers, nothing sold — just counts that show which pages people actually read.

What we count
Our first-party analytics script records visit statistics and folds them into totals:
- Pages viewed, time on a page, and how far down the page a visit reached.
- Whether a browser is visiting for the first time or returning, and how visits group into sessions.
- Where a visit came from — the referring site’s name and any campaign tags on the link.
- Clicks on buttons and on links that leave the site.
- Broad technical buckets: device type, screen-size band, browser family, language, and country.
The statistics do not include your name, your email address, or anything you type.
The one cookie
This site sets one first-party cookie, called syb_vid, for 12 months. It holds a random ID that lets us tell a first visit from a return visit. The same script keeps a small first-party browser record of the first-visit date and visit count for the same reason.
The cookie belongs to this domain only, and the ID is sent only to our own analytics service when a visit is counted. It is not an advertising cookie. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site still works; a return visit may simply be counted as new.
There is no waitlist or newsletter signup on this site. If you write to Andrew by email, your address and message are used to reply and to keep the conversation — nothing more. We do not sell email lists.
Questions or deletion
Write to andrew@saladyearsbrands.com. For a statistics question, tell us the site and roughly when you visited — the IDs are random and carry no name, so the dates help us find the right records.
